All dancers in a solo, duet, or trio will receive a medal based on our scoring system.
• If there are 1-5 routines in the category then 1st through 3rd place will be announced.
• If there are 6-10 routines in the category then 1st through 5th place will be announced.
• If there are 11+ routines in the category then the category will be split. Split categories are done at random.
*1st Place; each dancer will receive a 1st Place Rosette and a collectible placement coin.
*2nd to 5th Place; each dancer will receive a collectible placement coin.

At each awards session, our judging panel will select up to 6 routines that had the greatest impact on them - routines with real Shock Value. These awards are not based on score, but rather on shock and awe. Each dancer in a routine that is selected for a Shock Value Award will receive a collectible Shock Value Award coin.
At each awards session, our judging panel will select 1 routine with the best costume. Each dancer in a routine that is selected for a Costume Award will receive a collectible Costume Award coin.
At each awards session, our judging panel will select 1 routine that left a lasting choreographic impression on them. The choreographer will receive a cash award.
At the final awards session of each day, each studio’s highest scoring routine of that day will be announced as it’s Shock of the Day routine. This routine will receive a Rosette and each dancer in it will receive a collectible Shock of the Day coin.
*In order to qualify for this award on a particular day, a studio must have a minimum of 10 routines perform that particular day.
At our final awards session of the event, the top scoring routines in each of the following divisions will be announced:
NOVICE DIVISION
*1st Place; will receive a cash award and each dancer will receive a 1st Overall trophy and a collectible 1st Overall coin.
*2nd to 3rd/10th Place; each dancer will receive a collectible Overall Lineup coin.
*1st Place; will receive a cash award, a 1st Overall trophy, and each dancer will receive a collectible 1st Overall coin.
*2nd to 3rd Place; will receive a trophy and each dancer will receive a collectible Overall Lineup coin.
PRE-COMPETITIVE DIVISION
*1st Place; will receive a cash award and each dancer will receive a 1st Overall trophy and a collectible 1st Overall coin.
*2nd to 4th/10th Place; each dancer will receive a collectible Overall Lineup coin.
*1st Place; will receive a cash award, a 1st Overall trophy, and each dancer will receive a collectible 1st Overall coin.
*2nd to 4th Place; each dancer will receive a collectible Overall Lineup coin.
COMPETITIVE LEVEL 1 DIVISION
*1st Place; will receive a cash award and each dancer will receive a 1st Overall trophy and a collectible Overall Winner coin.
*2nd to 5th/10th Place; each dancer will receive a collectible Overall Lineup coin.
*1st Place; will receive a cash award, a 1st Overall trophy, and each dancer will receive a collectible 1st Overall coin.

COMPETITIVE LEVEL 2 DIVISION

*2nd to 5th/10th Place; each dancer will receive a collectible Overall Lineup coin.
*1st Place; will receive a cash award, a 1st Overall trophy, and each dancer will receive a collectible 1st Overall coin.

*Awards with a range of placements listed (ie. 5-10 Solos) will be dependent on the total entries registered at each competition.
*Shockwave Dance reserves the right to combine ages and divisions where necessary so awards may be given.
*Shockwave Dance will add additional placements if the category sizes are large enough.
At our final awards session of the event, our judging panel will select a number of Shock Star Dancers that stood out to them the entire competition. Judges will look for dancers with strong technical execution, genuine performance quality and expression, confidence, connection, and their overall artistic presentation. These dancers will receive a cash scholarship for one month of paid tuition to the studio they train at. We understand the vital role that studio training has on its dancers, and how important it is to have consistent, dedicated dance classes available to them. We support the dancers AND the studios they come from. These dancers will also receive a Rosette and a collectible Shock Star Dancer coin.
At our final awards session of the event, each studio’s highest scoring group routine will be announced as it’s Studio Standout. This routine will receive a cash award, a Rosette, and each dancer in it will receive a collectible Studio Standout coin.
At our final awards session of the event, the highest scoring routine in each style of dance will be announced as the competition's Style Standout. This routine will receive a cash award, a rosette, and each dancer in it will receive a collectible Style Standout coin.

*In order to quality for Top Studio in any particular division, a studio must register a minimum of 10 group routines in that division. Each studio's top 10 group scores from each division will be averaged to find their score.
*If a studio does not enter 10 group routines in a particular division, they cannot qualify for that division's Top Studio award, however, they can qualify for another division.
*A single studio cannot win both the Runner-Up and Top Studio titles in the same division, however, they can win multiple division titles.
*There must be a minimum of 3 qualifying studios in each division in order for a Top Studio title to be announced for that division.
