At Shockwave Dance, we believe that dance is for everyone. Our Inspiring Artists Program celebrates dancers of all abilities by providing a supportive and inclusive space for performers with physical or developmental disabilities. This division is designed to highlight each dancer’s unique strengths, creativity, and passion for movement.
Our competition is committed to inclusivity. We will gladly work with studios to provide any necessary accommodations to support a safe and meaningful performance experience. On-stage aids, assistants, or supports are permitted as needed to ensure each dancer feels confident and safe throughout their performance.
All entries in this program will perform at the same time in the same category regardless of whether the routine is a solo, duet, etc. Routines in this division are not scored, allowing the focus to remain on expression, fun, and personal achievement rather than technical marks. Every dancer in the Inspiring Artists Program will receive a trophy in recognition of their performance, ensuring each participant feels valued, encouraged, and celebrated. Our goal is to create an uplifting experience where dancers can shine proudly on stage while sharing the joy of dance with our community.
